Photo and Recording Consent

Vapura documents its work so you get a clear record of what was cleaned, what the results were, and what would help most next time. This page explains what may be captured, why, how it is used, and the choices you have before service begins.

What Vapura may capture on the job

With your consent, Vapura may take before-and-after photos of the areas being serviced — carpet, rugs, tile and grout, upholstery, and adjacent hard-surface flooring — along with any pre-existing damage, heavy soiling, pet-affected zones, or areas that require special treatment.

When needed to document the job accurately, Vapura may also take limited video of the work area before, during, or after service. Recording is limited to what is reasonably necessary to document service conditions and results.

Why Vapura documents jobs

Photos and limited work-area recordings are used only for legitimate business purposes:

  • Job documentation and quality control
  • Support for estimates, invoices, and internal recordkeeping
  • Training and coaching for Vapura contractors
  • Complaint handling, warranty questions, and dispute resolution
  • Confirming the Vapura Standard Process was followed on your property

Who may capture the documentation

Documentation may be captured by a Vapura owner, an assigned Vapura independent contractor (IC), or a Vapura admin performing a walkthrough or quality visit. Every person capturing photos or limited recordings on a Vapura job is subject to the same conduct standards and use limitations described here.

How photos and recordings are stored and used

Photos, notes, and limited work-area recordings are stored in Vapura's secure business systems, associated with the corresponding booking, and retained per Vapura's photo records retention practice. Access is restricted to Vapura personnel who need it to deliver, support, or verify the service you booked.

Documentation is treated as operational business records — not as public content. See the Privacy Notice for how personal information is handled overall.

Reasonable limits Vapura commits to

  • Reasonable efforts to keep recording focused on service areas and work-related conditions — not on private living areas outside the job scope, and not on private conversations.
  • Audio is not routinely captured; incidental sound in short work-area video is not the intended subject.
  • Faces of household members, tenants, staff, or bystanders are not the intended subject; when incidentally captured they will not be used for marketing without a separate release.
  • No use for social media, advertising, testimonials, before-and-after marketing content, or public web content without your written permission through a separate marketing release.

What is NOT included in this consent

This consent covers operational documentation only. It does not authorize:

  • Publishing your photos, video, address, or identifying details on Vapura's website, social media, ads, print flyers, or any public channel
  • Using your job's documentation in testimonials or marketing case studies
  • Sharing documentation with third parties outside Vapura's service delivery, unless required by law

Marketing or promotional use is always a separate, optional decision. If you'd ever like to allow it, Vapura will ask you to sign a separate photo and video release — you can decline without affecting service.

Your choices before service

  • Agree to the standard operational documentation described above when you book.
  • Ask Vapura to limit documentation to specific rooms or surfaces — call or email before service and we'll note it on the job.
  • Decline photo or recording documentation entirely.
  • Request deletion of documentation tied to a specific job at any time by contacting service@getvapura.com.

On the day of service, the assigned contractor will briefly reconfirm this consent before beginning work.

If consent is refused, revoked, or materially limited

If consent is refused, revoked before service, or materially limited, Vapura may decline, pause, reschedule, or modify service where documentation is reasonably necessary for service verification, job quality, payment support, safety, or dispute prevention. Vapura will explain the reason and offer alternatives when possible.
