Our process

How we clean this

  1. 1
Fabric ID. We identify fabric type and check the manufacturer's cleaning code (W, S, WS, X).
  2. 2
Pre-test on a hidden panel. Confirm the cleaning solution is safe for the fiber and dye before the visible surface is touched.
  3. 3
Vacuum. Slow-pass vacuum to remove loose soil, hair, and dander.
  4. 4
Spot pre-treatment. Targeted treatment on called-out stains before general cleaning.
  5. 5
Extraction cleaning. Fiber-appropriate extraction — lower moisture on cellulosic fibers, standard extraction on synthetics.
  6. 6
Groom and finish. Grooming brush restores nap direction; airflow accelerates dry-back.

Equipment & method

What we use

Upholstery hand tool matched to piece geometry — sofa arms, headrests, backs, cushions all cleaned in the correct sequence.

Purified R.O./D.I. water to reduce residue on light-color fabrics.

Cleaning solutions selected per manufacturer code — never a single universal product.

Considerations

Surface-specific care

  • Silk and viscose upholstery is pre-tested and often referred to a specialist.
  • "S-code" fabrics require solvent-based products — we quote separately and only when the product plan is documented.
  • Leather is not extracted — we can recommend a leather-care specialist.

What we don't do

Limitations & exclusions

  • Silk without pre-test
  • Leather (see care advice, not extraction)
  • Pieces with structural damage

Residential vs commercial

How this service differs by property type

In homes

Per-piece pricing (sofa, sectional, chair). We move around cushions and pillows so nothing gets over-wetted.

In commercial spaces

Volume pricing per seat for office chairs, waiting-room furniture, and hospitality seating. Off-hours scheduling for occupied spaces.

FAQ

Frequent questions

How long until we can sit on it?

Most upholstery is dry within 4–8 hours depending on fabric and airflow. We aim to leave the piece cushion-dry so it's usable that evening.

Do you clean leather?

Not with extraction. Leather needs a different care approach — we'll refer you to a leather-care specialist.

What if my fabric bleeds?

We hidden-pre-test every piece before any cleaning solution touches the visible surface. If a fabric shows bleed risk we stop and discuss options with you.
