Accessibility at Vapura

We want anyone to be able to read our pricing, check whether we serve their address, and book a cleaning — using a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, voice control, or whatever else works for them.

The standard we work toward

We build and test getvapura.com against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA. We have not had an independent audit certify that result, so we are telling you what we aim for and what we have done rather than claiming a conformance rating we have not earned. Where we fall short, we would rather say so on this page and fix it.

What is in place

Keyboard access
Every link, button, tab and form control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. A skip link is the first focusable item on our public pages, so a keyboard or screen-reader user can jump past the navigation straight to the main content.
Visible focus
The item you have focused is always visibly marked. Most elements get an outline; form fields get a coloured ring instead. We do not strip focus indicators to tidy up a design.
Text contrast
Body text and interactive text are checked against the WCAG AA contrast ratio for their size, and those ratios are asserted by automated tests that fail the build rather than by eye.
Status never carried by colour alone
When we tell you something — that an address is in our schedule, that a form needs a correction, that a request went through — the message is words. Colour only reinforces it.
Labelled forms and announced errors
Form fields have real labels rather than placeholder text standing in for them, required fields are marked in text, and validation messages are announced to screen readers rather than only appearing visually.
Meaningful text alternatives
Images that carry information have text alternatives. Purely decorative icons are hidden from screen readers so they are not read aloud as noise.
Readable structure
Pages use real headings in order, real lists and real landmarks, so a screen reader can navigate by structure instead of reading everything top to bottom.
Resizable text and zoom
Layouts reflow rather than break when text is enlarged or the page is zoomed, and horizontal scrolling is not required to read content.

Known limitations

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site stopped you from doing what you came to do, we want to hear about it — it is the fastest way for us to find the problem. Tell us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what you were using, if you know it. You do not need to know the technical term for what went wrong.

We aim to reply within two business days. If the barrier is stopping you from booking, say so and we will take the booking over the phone or by email while we sort out the page.
