How does pet stain and odor removal work?

Pet stain and odor removal targets three layers: the carpet fiber, the pad, and the subfloor. Fiber-only treatment is a surface clean and rarely holds if urine has soaked through. Pad-level treatment injects an odor neutralizer through the carpet into the pad. Subfloor treatment is a separate step where we lift the affected carpet section, treat the subfloor directly, and re-lay. At pre-inspection we identify which layers the stain has penetrated and price the appropriate scope.
